  3. Michelle-
    1) Yes to #7. Keep in mind that the pycnometer will hold only a certain volume of liquid therefore we can say that the volume of the water in the pycnometer will also be the volume of the IPA.
    2) Once you have #8 (mass) and #9 (volume) you can calculate #10. Do this for both trials and take the average of the two.

    I know its kind of late to ask for help, but this is the only time I have to do the per-lab.
    I can't seem to figure out what numbers go where.

    Like in number3-c, What was the amount of heat gained by the water. I know there is an equation on the other page but I still don't understand it.

    I sent you an email - but I'll just ask you a question similar to my email - If you know your calculations that we did in lab on 10/15 is wrong is there anyway for me to re-due what was done in lab - I know where I went wrong - I just need a chance to correct it! if not - what does that mean for the grade for this lab?
